Tancheng China Ginkgo Ecotourism Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Xincun Township is a land of abundant natural resources and gifted people, renowned worldwide for its abundant ginkgo production. Located to the west of the mighty Yi River, the area boasts numerous historical sites. Among them, "Red Cliff Ancient Plum," one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of the Tang Dynasty in Tancheng," has a legend that has endured for millennia without fading. The Tancheng Xincun Ginkgo Garden Tourism Area is situated at the site of the Xincun Township government office, less than 20 kilometers northeast of Tancheng County.

The garden was built in 1992 and named "Ginkgo Ancient Plum Garden," with the name inscribed by Song Fatang, former Deputy Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee. Later, the garden was renamed "Ginkgo Garden" based on its biggest highlight — the Ginkgo King. The ancient Ginkgo King, pines, ancient locust trees, Red Cliff Ancient Plum, and Guanzhu Temple within the scenic area are all high-quality tourism resources. By rationally arranging these ancient and culturally rich ecological attractions such as the ancient Ginkgo King, ancient locust trees, ancient plum, ancient temples, and ancient ginkgo trees, a high-end tourist area was established, taking initial shape by the end of 2000. The garden is divided into six major scenic areas: the Front Gate, Ancient Ginkgo, Children’s Playground, Sculpture Group, Eight Trigrams Ancient Array, and Guanzhu Temple. It features a towering ancient ginkgo tree standing 37 meters high, providing shade over more than an acre, with roots extending several li, earning the title "King of Trees." It is said to have been planted during the Yongguang era of the Western Han Dynasty, making it 3,000 years old, a majestic and rare sight. The renovated Guanzhu Temple boasts simple and elegant architecture with a unique style, incense lingering in the air, and the sound of bells resonating. Visitors feel as if they have entered a fairyland and find it hard to leave. The garden also includes over ten new attractions such as leisure islands, artificial lakes, the Thirty-Six Stratagems, and the Soul-Linking Array for visitors to enjoy. With its unique design, exquisite construction, and serene environment, the garden serves as an ideal destination for leisure, entertainment, sightseeing, and tourism. In the autumn of 1993, the first China Tancheng Ginkgo Festival was held here, and in the following years, tourists from all over the country flocked to the area, rapidly boosting its fame. During spring and autumn seasons, literati and artists gather here to climb heights, gaze into the distance, compose poetry, paint, and linger, creating scenes that are beyond words.

Featured Attractions: The world’s oldest and largest male ginkgo tree — the 3,000-year-old "Old Divine Tree," standing 41.9 meters tall with a trunk circumference of 8.6 meters. The 3,000-Year-Old Divine Tree: One hug for fortune, two hugs for talent, three or four hugs bring good luck, five or six hugs for promotion, seven or eight hugs for longevity, nine or ten hugs to welcome Buddha’s light.
