Malingshan Site

The Malingshan Site is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Malingshan Site is located in Quanyuan Township, Tancheng Town, Gaofengtou Town, and Honghua Township of Tancheng County. It dates back to the Neolithic Age. On December 7, 2006, the Malingshan Site was designated as part of the third batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Quanyuan Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Tancheng County. It is a key sericulture base and a strong livestock farming area in Shandong Province. Established as Quanyuan District in 1942, it became a commune in 1958, reverted to district status in 1962, changed back to a commune in 1971, and was reorganized as a township in 1984. Located in the northeastern part of the county, the Malingshan Mountain stretches across the eastern border from north to south, while the Baima River flows southward through the western part. Covering an area of 66 square kilometers with a population of 37,000, it lies adjacent to the Shanhaiguan–Guangzhou Highway to the west, and is served by an extensive network of paved roads within the township.
