Xuzhuang Site

The Xuzhuang Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Linyi City.

The Xuzhuang Site is located about 300 meters south of Xuzhuang in Huayuan Township, Tancheng County. It dates back to the Eastern Zhou and Han dynasties and is classified as an ancient site.

The Xuzhuang Site is among the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Huayuan Township: Huayuan Township is located in the southwestern part of Tancheng County, bordering Xin Yi City and Pi Shi City of Jiangsu Province. It sits at the junction of two provinces and three counties (cities), approximately 25 kilometers from the county seat. National Highway 310 runs east-west through the township, making transportation very convenient. The township covers an area of 73 square kilometers, with 68,000 mu of arable land. It currently administers 29 administrative villages, with a total population of 50,000. The Baima River runs through the area from north to south for 15 kilometers. The region features flat terrain, fertile soil, an abundance of rivers, a beautiful environment, and rich resources, earning it the reputation of being the “Land of Fish and Rice in Southern Tancheng.” The township seat has a well-planned layout with beautification, lighting, and greening initiatives in place.
