Linyi Yishui Natural Underground Gallery

The Linyi Yishui Natural Underground Gallery is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Yishui Natural Underground Gallery" tourist scenic area is situated in Liuhuyu, Yuandongtou Township, Yishui County, Shandong Province — recognized as the "First Eco-Village of the Yimeng Mountains" and the "Hometown of the Red Sisters." Covering a planned area of 20 square kilometers with a total investment of 120 million yuan, including 60 million yuan in the first phase, the area is divided into three main components: the "Natural Underground Gallery," a million-year natural wonder; the "Yiranju" resort village, built to three-star standards; and the ecological mountain forest, known as the "First Ecological Valley of Yimeng." It serves as a comprehensive leisure and recreation center integrating underground wonders, conferences, dining, accommodation, business, science education, and fitness. The "Natural Underground Gallery" stretches 6,600 meters in total, with 2,800 meters developed in the first phase. Its cave name was inscribed by the renowned scholar and traditional Chinese painting master Fan Zeng, and it has been acclaimed by many experts as the "No. 1 Karst Cave in Northern China." Inside, the cave boasts abundant stalactites, stalagmites, moon milk stones, flowstones, and shields that leave visitors in awe. It also features nationally treasured scroll-like helictites, world-famous for their uniqueness. Various types of stalactites and stalagmites — including stone milk, stalagmites, stone pillars, draperies, curtains, and flags — are uniquely shaped and arranged in stunning diversity. A total of 108 scenic spots reveal mysterious landscapes that have remained hidden for millions of years. The "Yiranju" hotel is nestled against the mountain and showcases distinctive Yimeng architectural style, covering a construction area of 8,000 square meters. The first phase accommodates 150 beds, hosts meetings for 150 people, and serves meals for 400 guests. Its building style is simple yet elegant, with a pleasing arrangement of stone houses, thatched cottages, pavilions, and corridors. The "Ecological Valley" lies at the foot of Jiuding Lotus Mountain, featuring thousands of acres of chestnut orchards and dense pine forests, with a forest coverage rate as high as 85%, making it an ideal "natural oxygen bar." Since its opening, the scenic area has been honored with various titles by higher authorities, including the Gallery Area of the Yimeng Mountain National Geological Park, the only municipal-level civilized tourism scenic spot in Linyi City, one of the Top Ten Most Beautiful Places in Shandong, one of the Top Ten Rural Tourism Scenic Spots in Shandong, the Most Romantic Scenic Spot, the Preferred Self-Drive Destination in Shandong, and one of the Top Ten Famous Dining Spots in Yimeng.
