Buddha Cave on Wolong Mountain is located one kilometer south of Yuandongtou Town, Yishui County, nestled in the heart of Wolong Mountain and beneath Tiger Head Mountain, making it a place truly worthy of being called a hidden dragon and crouching tiger.

Naturally formed hundreds of thousands of years ago, the cave features an arched ceiling with a sturdy structure; its winding passages are narrow and deep. Within the cave there are sights like “a winding path leading to a secluded spot” and “a sudden turn revealing a new vista,” as well as inscriptions by predecessors such as “Wonder,” “Treasure,” “Buddha,” “Patience,” “Compassion,” and “Kindness.” There are mountain springs and sacred well water, as well as waterfalls that seem to touch the sky; the mysterious Dragon Pool and Tiger Cave are truly hair-raising. The naturally formed stone Buddha statues, which are hundreds of thousands of years old, are majestic and strikingly lifelike. Countless stalactites, stalagmites, stone flowers, and coral-like limestone formations adorn the cave, leaving visitors in awe.
