Taitou Site

The Taitou Site is a Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Taitou Site: Located to the north of Taitou Village in Fuguangzhuang Town, this is a platform mound site with cultural deposits over 1 meter thick. It contains a large number of pottery fragments, along with a small amount of stone tools and fire-baked earth. Stone artifacts unearthed at the site include stone axes, stone knives, and stone adzes. Among the pottery finds are ding tripods, jars, basins, pots, spinning whorls, and gui vessel feet, predominantly made of sandy clay and black pottery. It is a site dating back to the Longshan Culture period of the Neolithic Age.

On December 7, 2006, the Taitou Site was designated as part of the third batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.
