Remains of the Dueling Platform

The remains of the Dueling Platform is a cultural tourism attraction.

The remains of the Dueling Platform are located to the east of Shangliuzhuang Village in Shagou Town, on a high terrace site. The site rises 3–5 meters above the ground, with cultural deposits about 1–3 meters thick. Artifacts unearthed include pottery li tripods, basins, dou stems, jars, and pots, as well as stone tools such as stone axes and knives, along with animal bones and deer antlers. Bronze items such as swords, arrowheads, and ding cauldrons were also found. The site dates back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. It earned its name because it was frequently struck by lightning. There is also a local legend that Huyan Qing once set up a platform here to hold martial arts contests under thunderstorms, hence the name "Dueling Platform."

Shagou Town: Shagou Town is located 30 kilometers northwest of Yishui County. To the east, it borders Gaoqiao Town and Mazhan Town; to the west, it neighbors Yiyuan County and Linqu County; to the south, it adjoins Zhuge Town and Gaoqiao Town; and to the north, it shares boundaries with Linqu County and Mazhan Town. The town administers a total of 66 administrative villages and 109 natural villages, with 21,000 households and a population of 69,000. It covers an area of 218 square kilometers, including 83,000 mu of arable land, a forest coverage rate of 22.5%, a local fiscal revenue of 12.8 million yuan, and a per capita income of 3,633 yuan.
