Longyue Lake Scenic Area

Longyue Lake Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Located 15 kilometers southeast of Dongcheng District in Dongying City, within the Longyue Lake Tourist Resort, it is a large-scale water park integrating tourism, vacation, leisure, and entertainment. Opened to the public in 1997, the scenic area covers a total area of 63 square kilometers, making it the largest artificial plain reservoir in Asia. Longyue Lake boasts vast waters, numerous scenic spots, and a beautiful, picturesque environment. As the main part of the Yellow River Delta Ecological Protection Zone, Longyue Lake is rich in fishery and bird resources. It is home to a wide variety of bird species, notably the swan, which is a second-class nationally protected animal. From November to April each year, large flocks of swans gather here, creating a stunning and magnificent sight that attracts countless visitors.
