Local hiker "Let's Go Let's Go" finished a six-day trek across the city’s three counties and two districts, covering a total of 320 kilometers. "Let's Go Let's Go" said it was perseverance and friendship that carried him through the 320-kilometer journey.
The term "hiker" originates from the internet and refers to outdoor sports enthusiasts, specifically those who engage in self-guided travel, general exploration, mountain climbing, trekking, and similar activities. Donkeys are known for their strength in carrying loads and endurance, which is why the term has also become a source of pride among enthusiasts. "Let's Go Let's Go" from Dongying, Shandong, felt this sense of pride when he set out on foot early in the morning on December 21st. Along the way, what moved him most was the support from fellow hikers and the test of endurance the trek provided.
At 7:30 a.m. on December 21st, "Let's Go Let's Go" began his journey trekking through the three counties and two districts of Dongying City. A kind-hearted fellow hiker, "Water Pipe," wanted to accompany him as far as Guangrao. After the initial leg, feeling that his stamina could hold up, "Water Pipe" continued walking with "Let's Go Let's Go" for another three days until they returned to Dongying from Hekou on the night of the 24th. At 1 a.m. on the 25th, "Let's Go Let's Go" completed the final stretch on his own.
"This journey wasn’t just me walking alone — it was everyone’s encouragement that accompanied and motivated me," "Let's Go Let's Go" shared with fellow hikers after finishing the trek. He said that before setting off, he thought hiking through the three counties and two districts was a personal endeavor, but once he started, hikers kept calling to ask about his progress and how he was feeling, never forgetting to send words of encouragement. It made him feel as if he were walking on behalf of the entire "Let's Go" outdoor club. "Along the way, I received over 300 phone calls checking in on me. The care and encouragement from everyone were what kept me going to the end." "Our hearts are together," he said.
It is understood that over five and a half days, hiker "Let's Go Let's Go" passed through Guangrao County, Dongying District, Lijin County, Hekou District, and Kenli County, covering a total of 320 kilometers. "The first day was too long — by the time we reached Guangrao, I had blisters on both feet," said "Let's Go Let's Go." They walked over 70 kilometers on the first day, but thanks to the encouragement from fellow hikers, he pressed on with the second day’s trek, even as the two blisters rubbed open during the walk.
