The "Greater Sin-Ying Area," with its picturesque rural scenery, boasts a diverse range of industries. For instance, its orchid industry, which has strong export competitiveness, holds a notable position in the international market. The region is also rich in agricultural products such as rice, lotus seeds, coffee, and livestock, earning it the title of Taiwan’s largest granary. Traditional cuisine made with local ingredients offers travelers unforgettable flavors of the past. Whether it’s the pastoral landscapes, the textures of old houses, or the simple yet hearty food, these seemingly ordinary aspects of rural life inadvertently paint a moving picture of countryside charm.

The Tourism Bureau stated that the second Tainan regional map foldout focuses on the "Greater Sin-Ying Area" — including Yanshui, Sin-Ying, Liuying, Houbi, Baihe, Dongshan, plus the "Xiaying District," covering a total of seven administrative regions. The design was created by freelance illustrator {Cat. Indeed As It Is}, who used rendering and layering techniques to present a delicate, soft watercolor style. Through this work, she conveys her impression of Tainan, rich in rural life aesthetics. This warm artistic style resonates deeply with urban dwellers longing for rural life and offers a therapeutic effect for the soul.
Besides her self-published illustrated books, the illustrator {Cat. Indeed As It Is}, whose works can also be found in various magazines and publications, has been documenting Taiwan’s scenes through her paintings since 2006. Using words to reflect and brushes to communicate, she captures every travel moment, infusing daily life with small joys through the warmth of her hands. This time, with her fresh and clean art style, she draws readers’ attention to what she sees as a natural rural art gallery, allowing them to feel its artistic and healing atmosphere.

The second illustrator-drawn map foldout, "Flower Field Journey," has been available for free public pickup since Thursday, June 2. The public is welcome to visit any of Tainan’s tourism service centers, Yonghua and Minzhi Municipal Joint Service Centers, as well as local government offices in the Greater Sin-Ying Area and Xiaying District to collect a copy. Supplies are limited, and the map can also be downloaded from the “Tainan Tourism Website” (http://www.twtainan.net/).
