The Yellow River Exhibition Area Ecological Park is an important platform for Longju Town to develop leisure sightseeing agriculture and build a strong tourism destination. Key projects include the purple mulberry and pollution-free fruit and vegetable picking area, the Yellow River cultural touring area, the Xiaomawan leisure eco-agricultural estate, and the Longju Town Tourist Distribution Center. By hosting events such as the “Purple Mulberry Picking Festival” and the “Watermelon Tasting Promotion Conference,” the park attracts visitors and enhances its tourism appeal. Currently, watermelons are thriving in 20 arch greenhouses within the exhibition ecological park. The development of the Longju Town Yellow River Exhibition Area Ecological Park follows a “one-line, three-zones, one-park, one-square” concept. It leverages the natural resources of the Yellow River and the exhibition area, along with humanistic and cultural assets such as fast-growing forests and sericulture, as well as ancient cultural heritage. The development focuses on creating a self-drive loop that extends westward from Xinglong Road in Longju Town toward the Yellow River, then south through the fast-growing forest base and the Mawan Watermelon Base back to Xinglong Road. Along this main route, the plan emphasizes building “one park, three zones,” and the “Longju Lake” Cultural Square, forming a large-scale Yellow River eco-landscape that integrates modern agricultural sightseeing, sericulture experiences, leisure vacations, and Yellow River tours. Since 2008, Longju Town has successfully hosted two Purple Mulberry Picking Festivals and two Mawan Watermelon Tasting Promotion Conferences, spurring rapid growth in the tourism industry.
