Sinvsi Village in Sinvsi Town is located at the junction of three counties across Shandong and Hebei provinces. It boasts abundant water resources, convenient transportation, and rich cultural heritage. It is recognized as an advanced and civilized village in terms of rural reform.

Sinvsi Village has been a town since the Western Han Dynasty and thrived with bustling trade throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties. The biannual Sinvsi Temple Fair drew so many vessels that ships crowded the waterways and roads were packed with travelers, presenting a scene of grandeur described as “a thousand banners parting the imperial guard, nine rivers guarding the towered boats.” The Sinvsi Water Control Project, built in the 1950s and expanded in the 1970s, divided the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal into the Wei Canal, South Canal, Jian River, and Cha River, earning it the title “Dujiangyan of the North.” The first entry in the "Dezhou Annals · Chronicles" states: “Yu dredged the nine rivers, and the key to the nine rivers lies right here.” Leveraging the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal dock and the “Nine Provinces Thoroughfare” official road, the legend of Sinvsi spread not only widely among surrounding counties but also traveled thousands of miles along the canal. Moreover, generations of officials and literati left behind exquisite travelogues and poems, highly praising the traditional virtue of “harmonious filial piety” embodied by Sinvsi, which has endured for millennia.
