Gaoshan Jade Emperor Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Gaoshan Jade Emperor Temple is located on Gaoshan Mountain in Heshan Town, northwest of Ningyang County. It lies to the north of the Wen River and sits at an elevation of 200 meters. Originally built in the 18th year of the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing reign, it was renovated during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty. By 1992, only the dilapidated Jade Emperor Temple remained among the ancient structures on the mountain.

In May 1993, emergency maintenance was conducted on the Jade Emperor Temple to promote national culture and protect historical relics.

The Jade Emperor Temple faces south and features main structures made of bluestone, with wooden windows and doors in traditional antique style. The roof is covered with yellow glazed tiles, and the ridge is adorned with decorative ridge beasts. In front of the entrance stands an iron incense burner, 1.5 meters tall. Inside the hall, the statue of the Jade Emperor is enshrined, flanked by statues of Laozi and the Heavenly King Li Jing, who holds the pagoda. On the inner side are two maidens, whose colorful sculptures are simple in design and delicate in facial features—treasures of Ming and Qing dynasty painted sculptures.

Directly in front of the main hall of the Jade Emperor Temple is an antique-style temple gate consisting of a single room.

To the right of the temple gate is the one-room hall of the Dragon King Temple, which houses the statue of the Dragon King. Behind the main hall of the Jade Emperor Temple, there is a hexagonal pavilion for enjoying the breeze and moonlight, situated at a distance. On both the sunny and shady sides of Gaoshan Mountain, there are winding stone staircases totaling 1,250 meters. At the northern foot of the mountain stands the Transcendence Pavilion, while three guardhouse rooms and 400 meters of fortress walls are also located on the mountain.
