Sizhao Tower

Sizhao Tower is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Sizhao Tower scenic area in Boping Town is 11 kilometers from Liaocheng city center, bordering the Jinniu Lake Park of Chiping to the east. It radiates outward from the center of the ancient Boping town and covers parts of Boping Town’s jurisdiction. In 2007, the town Party committee launched the cultural construction plan “Charming Boping: A Blend of Water Charm and Ancient Style,” and over the years, the development of cultural landscape projects has progressed in an orderly manner. Currently, the Sizhao Tower, Yuanlou Party History Memorial Hall, Zaoyuan Square, Confucius’ Turning Point Site, Yangshan Academy, Taishan Goddess Temple, Stone Archway, Canal Bay Ecological Park, and Boling Jujube Sightseeing Garden have been completed and are in use. The Riverside Park, Nanlian Pond, Xixinhe Leisure Area, and Tuohai River Colorful Bridge Scenic Area are under planning and construction. The Sizhao Tower scenic area is divided into three major theme zones: history, folk culture, and ecology, shaping two image brands representing history and modernity. Attractions in the old town such as Sizhao Tower, Yangshan Academy, Taishan Goddess Temple, Confucius’ Turning Point Site, and the Stone Archway showcase Boping’s historical depth and cultural charm. The Yuanlou Party History Memorial Hall highlights Boping’s red culture, while the Riverside Park exhibits its waterfront advantages and modern vibe. The Canal Bay Ecological Park, Zaoyuan Square, and Boling Jujube Sightseeing Garden present the area’s natural ecology.
