Juye Confucius Temple

Juye Confucius Temple is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a cultural relics protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Confucius Temple is located in the southeastern corner of Juye County, Heze City, about 100 meters north of the Yongfeng Pagoda. The temple complex consists of five courtyards along its north-south axis, as well as east and west side courtyards, housing nearly 100 structures including halls, chambers, pavilions, dormitories, side rooms, kiosks, and archways. From south to north, the site is arranged along an axis that includes the Taihe Yuanqi Archway, Lingxing Gate, Pan Pond, Ji Gate, Dacheng Hall, Minglun Hall, and Zunjing Pavilion, with additional structures such as the Jinde Dormitory, Xiuye Dormitory, East Side Room, West Side Room, Minghuan Shrine, Xiangxian Shrine, Zhongyi Shrine, Donghua Gate, and Xihua Gate located on both sides of the central axis. The east side courtyard houses the Wenchang Shrine, the site of Confucian studies; the west side courtyard originally served as the Qisheng Shrine and was later converted into a residence for instructors.
