This coincides with the Nagano Takato Cherry Blossom Festival, making it the perfect time to admire the "finest cherry blossoms under heaven" with a joyful heart.

Takato, a town in Nagano Prefecture with a history of 700 years, boasts rich and diverse natural scenery. Takato Castle Site Park is a nationally renowned cherry blossom viewing destination, attracting around 400,000 domestic and international flower enthusiasts every year. The park is famous for its more than 1,500 Somei Yoshino cherry trees native to Takato, which bear smaller blooms with a hint of red. Their exquisite beauty has earned them the title of "finest cherry blossoms under heaven." The oldest tree in the park is over 130 years old, and when set against the majestic backdrop of the Japanese Alps, it creates an enchanting scene that keeps visitors coming back.

This year’s "Nagano Takato Cherry Blossom Festival" runs through early May. During the event period, cherry blossom tea services will be offered, allowing visitors to enjoy tea under the 1,500 blooming Takato pink cherry trees—an experience truly to cherish. Admission fees during the cherry blossom season are 500 yen for adults and 200 yen for elementary and middle school students.
