Step into a hidden paradise of peach blossoms – a breathtaking tunnel of three-colored peach blooms

Located in Southern Nagano, Japan, every May when the climate warms up, peach blossoms along National Route 256 begin to bloom. A stunning blend of vibrant red, pure white, and soft pink flowers from about 5,000 peach trees creates a dreamy “Flower Peach Street.” Evening light-ups add a romantic atmosphere unlike the daytime.

This dreamlike explosion of peach blossoms spans from mid-April to mid-May. Along the approximately 40-kilometer stretch of road, visitors can enjoy the beautiful interplay of the three flower colors. Beyond admiring the peach blossoms, travelers can also enjoy experiences such as hot spring bathing and railway journeys to deeply immerse themselves in Japanese culture.

Southern Nagano is a great travel destination year-round, with cherry blossoms in spring and the three-color peach blossom tunnels in late spring to early summer. Additionally, Nagano Prefecture is known for its famous hot spring resorts, including some that were once secret baths used by the legendary warlord Takeda Shingen during the Warring States period — renowned for their skin-whitening and beautifying effects.
