Yuncheng Red Culture Heritage Museum

The Yuncheng Red Culture Heritage Museum serves as a science education base, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

Approved for establishment in February 2014 after evaluation and acceptance by the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, the Yuncheng Red Culture Heritage Museum is the only non-state-owned museum in Heze City to receive such approval from the provincial bureau. The museum is currently located on the southern section of Dongmen Street in Yuncheng County, enjoying convenient transportation and a clean environment. The building is of steel-concrete structure, with a main body of four floors and partial five floors, covering a land area of 560 square meters, a construction area of 1,070 square meters, and an exhibition area of 850 square meters. It houses a collection of 3,586 items, displayed under six thematic exhibitions: Leaders’ Style, Red Literature, Historical Artifacts, Heroic Resistance in Southwestern Shandong, The Red Journey, and Red Calligraphy and Paintings. The museum receives over 60,000 visitors annually. In 2015, it was honored as a “Shandong Provincial Patriotic Education Base” and a “Shandong Provincial Social Science Popularization Education Base.”
