Ancient Cultural Site of Jingtai

The Ancient Cultural Site of Jingtai is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Ancient Cultural Site of Jingtai is located in the northeast corner of Jingtaiji Village, Dongmingji Town, approximately 21 kilometers southeast of the county seat and 300 meters south of the Zijingshui River. The site rises about 1 meter above the ground, measuring 56 meters from north to south and 20 meters from east to west, covering a total area of 1,120 square meters. The cultural deposit layer is around 6 meters thick. The terrain is higher in the south and lower in the north. Due to years of soil extraction by local residents, a rectangular pit of 391 square meters has formed in the northern part. A total of 64 samples have been collected, including gray pottery fragments with squared patterns from the Longshan Culture; remnants of gray pottery jars with blue-striped designs, gray pottery fragments with rope patterns, and polished gray pottery fragments with string-patterned rims; as well as gray pottery li tripod rims with fine (sand) tempering from the Shang Dynasty culture, large-mouth gray pottery zun vessel rims, red pottery li tripod fragments with fine sand tempering (decorated with rope patterns overall and blackened tips), and gray pottery ding tripods with fine sand inclusions (decorated with rope patterns and blackened tips).
