Surrounded by a sea of purple flowers！New attraction：Taiwan’s longest flower corridor

The 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition will open on November 3. The city government has created a 213-meter-long “Flower Corridor” and a roughly 30-meter-long “Vine Tunnel” in the Huludun area of Fengyuan. The “Flower Corridor” uses a variety of colorful plants and climbing vines to create a vibrant and romantic atmosphere, while the “Vine Tunnel” is planted with Tetrastigma which sounds like “wish vine”. Walking through the sea of purple flowers, you can feel a blissfully romantic ambiance.

The 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition will be held simultaneously in Fengyuan, Houli, and Waipu. The newly built Taiwan’s longest flower corridor in the Huludun area features a semi-open design with enveloping floral plantings. The streamlined green walls, along with carefully planned visual colors, make you feel as if you’re walking through a dreamy corridor surrounded by romance and happiness.

The flower corridor isn’t beautiful only during the day. At night, the semi-enclosed flower corridor is illuminated by lights, highlighting the purple-toned diverse plantings and climbing vines that extend along the covered floral archway, creating a very colorful and romantic scene. Meanwhile, the Water Resources Bureau has also built a romantic “Vine Tunnel” with Tetrastigma, where two-meter-tall Tetrastigma plants bloom with purple flowers on the trellis.
