The Eastern Temple Sun Family Tomb is located in Matou Town, Dongming County. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Matou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dongming County. It is nationally renowned as the "Watermelon Capital." In 1958, it was established as the Matou Commune Management Area, upgraded to Matou Township in 1984, and became a town in 1994. Located south of the county seat, it is 31 kilometers from the county center. Covering an area of 84.7 square kilometers, it has a population of 31,000.
