The Houzhanglou Gudi Site

The Houzhanglou Gudi Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Houzhanglou Gudi Site is located in Wushengqiao Town, Dongming County, and dates back to the Shang, Zhou, and Han dynasties.

On June 23, 2015, the Houzhanglou Gudi Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Wushengqiao Town: Wushengqiao Town is located 7 kilometers northeast of Dongming County. It has a total population of 42,000. The Rizhao–Dongming Expressway runs through the area, and it is adjacent to National Highway 106 to the west. The town is rich in petroleum resources. Wushengqiao Town has a temperate monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 14.5°C. July is the hottest month, with an average temperature of 28°C, while January is the coldest, averaging –1.2°C. The annual average rainfall is 600 mm. To the south lies the Dongyu River, to the north the Zhu-Zhao New River, and to the west the Gaocun Yellow River Diversion Canal.
