The "Nanchang Star" Ferris Wheel, also known as Nanchang Star, is located in Ganjiang Civic Park by the Gan River in Hongjiaozhou, Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is currently the tallest Ferris wheel in the world and a landmark building of Nanchang. The "Nanchang Star" Ferris Wheel was designed by the Shanghai Branch of the China Coal Research Institute. Its rim is adorned with around six to seven thousand LED semiconductor lighting devices. When all the lights are on, they can display a giant colorful clock with a diameter of 153 meters, and different patterns can also be set as needed. Construction began in 2005 and was completed in 2006, with a total investment of 100 million RMB. It symbolizes Nanchang’s dynamic presence as a global city and has become one of the city’s key landmarks.
