Nanchang Bridge

Nanchang Bridge is located in Nanchang City, spanning between Chaoyangzhou and Honggutan. It is the first dual-use bridge for both pedestrians and vehicles built over the Gan River in China and is known as the "First Bridge Over the Thousand-Li Gan River." Construction of Nanchang Bridge began on September 1, 1994, with strong support from the World Bank. The upper level of the main bridge features six two-way lanes for motor vehicles, with a total width of 30.35 meters. The lower level is designated for non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians. As the first modern bridge over the Gan River, Nanchang Bridge resembles a giant dragon lying across the river.

Nanchang Bridge is a major bridge over the Gan River in Nanchang. The upper part is for vehicles, while the lower part accommodates bicycles and pedestrians. The bridge is quite long, and while its overall architecture is rather moderate, the views are nice—you can even run across it. From the bridge, you can see the Ferris wheel, which changes colors from time to time. The wind is strong, bringing a bit of chill, and you can feel the bridge trembling as you walk, which is a bit scary. Below the bridge flows the Gan River, with sand dredgers occasionally passing by.
