Situated in the Jiangxi Financial Center of Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, the Nanchang Jinjiufu Coin Museum is a widely acclaimed private museum. It was jointly established by Mr. Jin Jiadong, a distinguished Chinese coin collector and researcher, and his daughter Jin Hua. The museum boasts a collection of over ten thousand historical coins spanning various dynasties, from the Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Three Kingdoms, Two Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties, to the Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic of China, and up to modern times. Among its highlights are three signature themed exhibitions: "Belt and Road Currencies," "Jiangxi Financial Currencies," and "Red Currencies from China’s Revolutionary Base Areas." Jin Jiadong has been devoted to coin collecting for over 40 years, dedicating himself wholeheartedly with unwavering commitment and enduring hardships. He invested his life savings into this passion. By the end of 2019, he had amassed a collection of more than 10,000 coin artifacts, with a particularly unique focus on red currencies from China’s revolutionary base areas. Most of the red currencies in the museum are classified as national first-, second-, or third-tier revolutionary relics, making it the only museum in the country with the largest quantity and variety of red currency holdings. Since its opening, the museum has welcomed over one million domestic and international visitors free of charge. In 2017, the Jinjiufu Coin Museum was approved by the Provincial Department of Culture as a pilot unit for the development of cultural and creative products by cultural heritage institutions. In 2018, it was awarded the “Golden Azalea Award” as one of Jiangxi Province’s Top Ten Growing Cultural Enterprises in the cultural industry. In 2019, it received the honorific title of “Nanchang’s Outstanding Non-State-Owned Museum.” In October 2019, the museum was recognized on the list of “Top 100 Core Value-Themed Exhibitions of 2019” by the National Cultural Heritage Administration.
