The Northern Jiangxi Special Committee of China

The Northern Jiangxi Special Committee of China is a classic red tourism attraction.

In January 1930, the 0 Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee) moved its base here from Zhubei Factory. The 0 Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee) and the Young Communist League Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee) were established and operated here. Soon after, the Third Congress of the Xiushui County Red Trade Union was held here, electing Hu Tieyan as chairman.

In early February of the same year, the Second Congress of the 0 Xiushui County was convened here, with over 150 delegates in attendance, representing more than 4,800 party members. The meeting mainly announced the decisions of the Xiang Committee Office, transforming the 0 Xiushui Central County Committee into the 0 Xiushui County Committee. Key issues discussed and decided upon included expanding the Red Army, consolidating the Soviet regime, purging counter-revolutionaries within the Soviet area, and developing the economy of the Soviet area. Zhang Jingwu, Secretary of the 0 Northern Jiangxi Special Committee, attended the meeting. Eleven committee members and two alternate members were elected, with Lu Zhenlu chosen as County Party Secretary, Fan Feiji as Head of Organization, Yang Shouchun as Head of Propaganda, and Ma Zongshi as the County Committee Secretary. The 0 Xiushui County Committee also operated from this building.

In June 1931, Huang Huoqing, an inspector from the 0 Central Committee, personally visited the 0 Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee) and the 0 Xiushui County Committee to provide guidance and supervision during his inspection tour of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Soviet Area.

On August 30, 1931, following the decision of the First Expanded Executive Committee Meeting of the 0 Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Committee, the 0 Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee) was dissolved and the 0 Xiushui Central County Committee was reinstated, overseeing the work of five counties: Xiushui, Tonggu, Tongcheng, Yifeng, and Fengxin. Lu Zhenlu served as secretary. At the same time, the Young Communist League Xiushui County Committee was renamed the Young Communist League Central County Committee, with Fan Xiangri as secretary.

In August 1932, after Zhajin fell, all the aforementioned offices were withdrawn. To this day, the walls still bear lime slogans painted by the propaganda team of the Northern Jiangxi Sub-district Committee (Special Committee), such as “Implement worker-peasant rule” and “Eradicate the remnants of the landlord class.”
