The Shangfeng Shanbei Cultural Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Shanbei Cultural Site in Shangfeng is a gathering place of humans in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China, dating back approximately 5,000 years. It serves as a living example of the "Shanbei Culture" mentioned in junior high school history textbooks. Currently, 46 cultural heritage sites have been identified within the Shanbei site cluster, among which 8 are designated as provincial-level cultural heritage protection units. These are evenly distributed on the southwestern slopes of the hills around Shanbei Village, stretching 5 kilometers from east to west and 4 kilometers from north to south, with distances between sites ranging from 50 to 200 meters. The cultural relics at the Shanbei Site are well-preserved, with abundant finds, most of which remain unexcavated. Those that have been unearthed include stone and pottery artifacts such as adzes, axes, arrowheads, spades, chisels, net sinkers, sickles, whetstones, tripods, gui vessels, li tripods, pots, jars, and gui containers. Due to the lack of a local museum, many of these relics have been lost to the public. Our county is making efforts to elevate the "Shanbei Culture" site to a national-level cultural heritage protection unit and cultural site.
