Mazu Lake features a beautiful natural environment with green mountains, bamboo forests, birds chirping, fragrant blossoms, and a mild climate. It is situated at the meeting point of the Xiu River and its tributary, the North Shore Stream, within the Guojia Tan reservoir area. Encircled by mountains with only a single valley outlet, it's like a hidden paradise. The alluvial plain formed at the confluence spans around 1,000 acres of fertile land, ideal for integrated agricultural development. The nearby mountain forests have good soil quality, making them suitable for comprehensive forestry and fruit cultivation. The expansive lake surface is perfect for developing water amusement facilities and integrated aquaculture projects. Mazu Lake is located in Mazu Lake Village and Xiukou Village of Xigang Town, at the center of Xigang Town, Ma'ao Town, and Hangkou Town. It is just 3 kilometers from the Kelong Line, a major east-west transportation artery across Xiushui County, and 10 kilometers from Huang Tingjian’s hometown—Hangkou Shuangjing. According to the "Xiushui County Tourism Development Master Plan of Jiangxi Province," the Mazu Lake tourism area is situated in the core zone of Xiushui’s landscape and cultural tourism.
