Oceania Wetland Park

Oceania Wetland Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Oceania Park is located on the west side of Liangtang New District in Xiushui County, at the confluence of the Xiushui River and its tributary, the Shankou River. Covering a total area of 1,500 acres, the park has a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan. The park features a landscape structure known as “one belt, one river, and one islet,” consisting of three parts: the lakeside road landscape project, the inner river, and the wetland park. The lakeside road landscape project is 5.8 kilometers long in total; the first phase, which has been fully completed, is 2.6 kilometers long with a width of 7.5 meters. The green area covers approximately 176,000 square meters, featuring up to 106 varieties of saplings and about 6,234 large landscape trees. Most of the trees are native species transplanted from Xiushui, with rare and precious large trees including mainly metasequoia, ancient camphor trees, golden larch, cedar, magnolia, saucer magnolia, osmanthus, crape myrtle, ginkgo, michelia, and bischofia, among more than ten species. Along the lakeside road, there are also the Xiuhe Square covering 28,000 square meters, the Changtian Square spanning 20,000 square meters, and the Juxian Square encompassing 8,000 square meters. The inner river was originally a stagnant pool overgrown with deadwood and weeds. After dredging and renovation, it has been transformed into a beautiful river that is 1.5 kilometers long, 60 meters wide, with a water surface area of 90,000 square meters, and a 3,000-meter scenic embankment, connecting the Shankou River and the Xiushui River. This has significantly enhanced the landscape effect on both sides of the park. Oceania Wetland Park is about 1,200 meters long and 220 meters wide, covering an area of approximately 318 acres, forming a long and narrow green oasis. Following the principles of “ecology, economy, and aesthetics,” Xiushui County has developed Oceania Wetland into an ecological landscape park that complements and integrates with the lakeside road landscape project. The wetland park has a green area of about 180,000 square meters, with 49 varieties and specifications of saplings, and approximately 4,000 large landscape trees. It features themed landscapes such as cryptomeria forests, sweet gum forests, bayberry forests, palm forests, pine forests, sunlit lawns, and putting greens. At the same time, taking advantage of the undulating hills and natural water bodies, the park has been designed as a distinctive wetland park.
