Maozhu Mountain Forest Farm

Maozhu Mountain Forest Farm is one of the eight major forest farms in Jiangxi Province. Located in Huanggang Town, it covers an area of 43.4 km² and still retains over 10,000 acres of pristine secondary forest, earning it the title of the last piece of virgin forest in northwestern Jiangxi.

Huanggang Town: Known as Xiushui County’s “major agricultural town, strong industrial town, key forestry town, famous shiitake mushroom town, and prosperous economic town,” Huanggang Town spans a total area of 193.6 square kilometers. It governs 8 administrative villages, 139 villager groups, and has an agricultural population of 13,771. In 1999, its total industrial and agricultural output value was 146.25 million yuan, with a total fiscal revenue contribution to the county government of 2.3836 million yuan.

Huanggang Town is a veteran revolutionary base area and served as the central base of the Xi (Xiushui), Tong (Tonggu), Yi (Yifeng), and Feng (Fengxin) Soviet.
