Xiushuiyuan National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Xiushuiyuan National Wetland Park is located along the main channel of the Xiushui River from Dongjin Reservoir to the river’s exit point in the county, encompassing tidal flats, streams, springs, and surrounding forested mountain areas, covering a total area of 4,342.4 hectares.

Approved as a national wetland park pilot site by the State Forestry Administration in 2011, it serves as the key water conservation area at the source of the Xiushui River—one of Jiangxi’s five major river systems—and plays a vital role in safeguarding the “clear waters” of Poyang Lake and even the water ecological security of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It also helps protect the habitats of endangered waterfowl species such as the scaly-sided merganser.
