The Site of the Tai Zhuang Meeting is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Site of the Tai Zhuang Meeting — The Zhang Family Ancestral Hall in Tai Zhuang, Xiushui, is located in Tai Zhuang Village, Donggang Township.

On October 29, 1928, Teng Daiyuan, the Party representative of the Fifth Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and a special envoy of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, presided over a joint meeting at the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall in Tai Zhuang, Xiushui. The meeting was attended by leaders of the Pingjiang, Liuyang, Xiushui, and Tonggu County Committees and the Party Committee of the Fifth Red Army. The meeting officially reinstated the Special Committee of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Border Region of the Communist Party of China. Teng Daiyuan, Peng Dehuai, Li Zongbai, Qiu Xunmin, and Wang Shoudao were appointed as members of the Standing Committee of the Special Committee, with Teng Daiyuan serving as the secretary. The meeting thoroughly reviewed the work carried out since the Pingjiang Uprising and identified combating blind activism as a key task for the Party and the Red Army at the time. It was decided to transfer a number of cadres and Red Guards from various counties to join the Red Army. The Fifth Red Army and the Red Guards from Xiushui, Pingjiang, Tonggu, and Liuyang were reorganized into ten battalions and one directly affiliated battalion under the army headquarters. The Military Commission of the Fifth Red Army, consisting of Peng Dehuai, Teng Daiyuan, Deng Ping, Li Can, and He Guozhong, led five battalions to leave the border region and move southward to Jinggangshan when conditions permitted, to join forces with the Fourth Red Army. The remaining five battalions, totaling more than 1,000 troops, were led by Huang Gonglue, the deputy commander of the army, to continue the struggle in the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Border Region.

After the Tai Zhuang Meeting, the Xiushui County Committee and the County Soviet Government actively expanded their armed forces and dispatched over 500 Red Guards to the Fifth Red Army, earning recognition from the Border Region Special Committee and the Party Committee of the Fifth Red Army. On December 10, Peng Dehuai and Teng Daiyuan led more than 800 troops of the Fifth Red Army to Jinggangshan, where they joined the Fourth Red Army.

The original site of the Tai Zhuang Meeting was the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall, a brick-and-wood structure with a floor area of 160 square meters. In September 2007, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Xiushui County by the People's Government of Xiushui County.
