On September 9, 1927, the troops of the Autumn Harvest Uprising held their oath-taking ceremony in Zihua Dun, Xiushui County. On the 10th, Lu Deming convened all officers, soldiers, and nearby civilians to convey the spirit of the "August 7th" Meeting and the directives from the Central Committee. They held an oath-taking rally here, staging a grand military-civilian gathering, suppressing local tyrants escorted from the county seat, and then marching toward Pingjiang.
