Former Site of the Northeastern Jiangxi Soviet Government

The Former Site of the Northeastern Jiangxi Soviet Government is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province and a classic destination for red tourism.

The Former Site of the Northeastern Jiangxi Soviet Government is located to the west of Fulín Village in Péméi Town and is a well-preserved revolutionary site from the Second Revolutionary Civil War period. The building covers an area of approximately 600 square meters and features the typical architectural style of local residences at that time. It consists of six bays and five rooms, built with a brick-and-wood structure, comprising two courtyards, two halls, one central courtyard, and a total of 14 rooms. In 1930, the Northeastern Jiangxi Soviet Government and the Northeastern Jiangxi Revolutionary Committee, led by Fang Zhimin and Shao Shiping, relocated here from Yiyang. The site now houses a collection of precious relics, including the beds, mosquito nets, tables, chairs, satchels, and bamboo hats used by Fang Zhimin and Shao Shiping, as well as weapons used by the Red Army such as homemade guns, cannons, bombs, broadswords, and spears. It was listed as a third batch provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in December 1987. This revolutionary site is an important historical testament to Wannian’s status as a veteran revolutionary base area and serves as a key location for patriotic education and red tourism.
