The festive atmosphere continues into the New Year holiday season.To allow the public to keep enjoying the festive spirit, the night light sculpture show at Pingtung City’s Wannian River Scenic Bridge has been extended through the Lantern Festival. The colorful water cascade light show, held on the hour from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM every evening, has been extended from 10 minutes to 20 minutes.Aside from enjoying the light show at night, visitors can also admire the scenic beauty of Dawu Mountain on clear days during the day.

The water cascade light sculpture show on the Wannian River Scenic Bridge is created using 608 full-color LED spotlights and 8 sets of full-color floodlights, forming an infinite combination of flickering and color-changing effects. It is further enhanced by the colorful tree shadows along both sides of the Wannian River and the soft glow of the cascading waterfall, adorning the sparkling riverside. The public can enjoy this free spectacle until before the Lantern Festival.

The scenic bridge was opened at the end of 2013, with a total length of 254 meters and a width of 2 to 8 meters. Its exterior features an arc shape, and the bridge deck spans over the Wannian River. Viewed from above, it resembles a white skyline drawn across Pingtung City; from a ground-level perspective, it looks like a pair of wings. In addition to being a pedestrian walkway, the bridge also includes a gently sloped bike lane designed for easy bicycle towing.
