General's Building at Guifeng

In 1935, General Zhao Guantao fell ill and sought medical treatment everywhere. Following expert advice, he came to Guifeng for convalescence. He then built a villa here, naming it the "Thirty-Six Peaks Building," which later generations refer to as the "General's Building." The building features European architectural style, with a stone-and-wood structure, two floors, and includes bedrooms, a dressing room, bathroom, living room, guard room, and balcony, as well as a secret basement and passageway. The total construction area is 422.59 square meters. From the building, one can enjoy the scenic views of Guifeng. Later, Chiang Kai-shek also visited this building. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the government funded multiple renovations to preserve it in good condition.
