In November, Mount Luofu enjoys mild weather and pleasant temperatures. By this time, many northern cities in China have already entered winter, while Boluo County in Huizhou, Guangdong, remains lush and vibrant with life. The annual finale of the 2014 China Fitness Mountains event was spectacularly held at Mount Luofu in Boluo County, Guangdong, at 9:00 AM on November 16th. Over 2,015 participants from more than 30 provinces across the country, as well as from Guangdong Province, took part in the exciting activities of the 2014 China Fitness Mountains · Mount Luofu Mountain Climbing Competition.
This was the first time the "China Fitness Mountains" event was held in Guangdong Province. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the China Scenic Area Association, with exclusive operation by Shan Shui Ming He (Beijing) Culture Communication Co., Ltd. Mr. Wang Yongfeng, captain of the National Mountaineering Team, completed the entire course as an athlete. Li Zicheng from Shandong and Zheng Wenrong from Yunnan won the men’s and women’s speed climbing championships, respectively.
After the award ceremony, Wang Haiju, Deputy Director of the Guifeng Scenic Area — a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and national-level scenic spot in Jiangxi Province — took over the "China Fitness Mountains" competition flag from Fan Zhijun, Deputy Director of the Mount Luofu Scenic Area Management Committee. In mid-January 2015, the kickoff event of the China Fitness Mountains will be held at Guifeng in Yiyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi. Outdoor and mountain climbing enthusiasts are welcome to participate.
