In mid-July 1931, the Red Army Hospital was expanded and established in Xianhu Village, Ji District, Yiyang. To meet the needs of military development, the Red Army Hospital was expanded into the General Hospital of the Red Army in Northeastern Jiangxi. In August 1932, it was relocated to the Zhu Family Ancestral Hall on Mopan Mountain, with Zou Simeng as the director and political commissars including Shu Yi and Shao Boping successively. The general hospital had four branches dedicated to treating wounded and sick Red Army soldiers.
