In order to further promote and implement the spirit of the Party’s August 7th Meeting, and to summarize the experiences of the Yiyang Ninth District Uprising and the Huanggang New Year's Uprising, Communists such as Fang Zhimin, Shao Shiping, and Huang Dao held a joint meeting of Party members from five counties — Yiyang, Huanggang, Guixi, Yanshan, and Shangrao — in Jiaotou Village, Lieqiao Township on January 2, 1928. This historic gathering is known as the “Jiaotou Meeting.”

In order to further promote and implement the spirit of the Party’s August 7th Meeting, and to summarize the experiences of the Yiyang Ninth District Uprising and the Huanggang New Year's Uprising, Communists such as Fang Zhimin, Shao Shiping, and Huang Dao held a joint meeting of Party members from five counties — Yiyang, Huanggang, Guixi, Yanshan, and Shangrao — in Jiaotou Village, Lieqiao Township on January 2, 1928, historically known as the “Jiaotou Meeting.” The meeting formulated unified guidelines and programs for the uprising, and established a leadership body for the rebellion — the Working Committee of the Five Counties under the CCP and the General Command of the Uprising — which directly led the joint large-scale armed peasant uprising in Yiyang and Huanggang counties.
