The Guifeng Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Guifeng Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area is developed around the Guifeng Lake Reservoir (also referred to as the Qingshui Lake Reservoir and the Jiangliaoxiao Reservoir combined) and the Guifeng Scenic Area. It highlights distinctive natural geological formations, the Yiyang Opera and turtle culture, as well as water conservancy education, and provides a variety of experiences such as sightseeing, leisure, vacationing, science education, and entertainment. The scenic lake boasts shimmering, crystal-clear waters, while streams and springs offer sweet, refreshing flows. The area is renowned for its uniquely shaped peaks and rocks, picturesque landscapes, and serene beauty, exemplifying classic Danxia landform. Not only does the scenic zone feature a harmonious blend of mountains and waters, but it also integrates the “red, ancient, and green” cultural resources, as well as the philosophies of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, showcasing its profound historical and cultural heritage. The area is distinguished by its unparalleled turtle-shaped Danxia hills and the long-standing tradition of Yiyang Opera, embodying outstanding natural, geological, ecological, and aesthetic value.
