The first phase of Deyu Ecological Park in Jingdezhen City is located in the southwestern suburbs of the city, covering an area of 600 acres. It is about 6 kilometers from the city center, situated on the east side of Cidu Avenue and the west bank of the Chang River, adjacent to National Highway 206. It is just 2 kilometers from Jingdezhen South Railway Station on the Anhui–Jiangxi Railway line and approximately 8.5 kilometers from Luojia Airport in Jingdezhen City. Water, land, and air transportation are all very convenient. The parent company, Jiangxi Deyu Group, is one of China’s first key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization. It has always been science and technology-driven, developing and producing green, healthy food. Deyu Ecological Park is an agricultural eco-park under Jiangxi Deyu Group that integrates scientific research, planting, and sightseeing. Construction began in November 2001. Backed by Nanshan Mountain and flanked by the Chang River, it is adjacent to the headquarters of Jiangxi Deyu Group and houses a provincial-level bio-food research center. The second phase is located on the south side of the city’s Ecological Road, covering 7,000 acres, bringing the total area of both phases to 7,600 acres.

Inheriting the corporate philosophy of Jiangxi Deyu Group, Deyu Ecological Park emphasizes ecology and technology. On a barren hillside, it has transplanted thousands of century-old azaleas, tens of thousands of millennium-old loropetalums, as well as ancient osmanthus trees, yews, and oaks that are 500 years old. Aside from research and preservation, these rare plants are also displayed to visitors. Among them, an 800-year-old osmanthus tree was transplanted from the deep mountains into the park and miraculously came back to life, creating an unexpectedly touching story.

A myriad of flowers and plants compete in beauty within the park. Among them, 1,000 Chinese azalea trees over 300 years old have been planted, with 1,500 of them having an average diameter of over 15 centimeters—something not seen elsewhere in China. Agricultural researchers in the ecological park will conduct a series of studies on the ancient azaleas and display them to visitors. Deyu Ecological Park serves as a model and demonstration for promoting the transformation and dissemination of scientific and technological achievements. It is a visual representation of the company’s ecological philosophy and has been recognized by the Agricultural Society of the Ministry of Agriculture as a “National Agricultural Science Popularization Demonstration Base” and the “Jingdezhen China Loropetalum Expo Garden.”

The thousands of tons of stones used to decorate the walls and pave the paths in the ecological park come from deep mountains hundreds of miles away. These are ancient stones naturally sculpted by centuries of water erosion and rain. Visitors to the park feel as if they have entered the depths of the mountains. The ecological effect has already taken shape, with long-absent birds frequently circling overhead. Deyu Ecological Park features multiple teahouses and waterside pavilions, allowing people to listen to the rain or relax during leisure time, experiencing the exquisite serenity of “moistening things silently.” With a cup of Deyu live tea in hand, one can enjoy boundless relaxation and the rich beauty of nature.

The first phase of Deyu Ecological Park is built on the banks of the river in the ancient town of Lü Meng in the suburbs, with the goal of providing convenience for citizens and tourists. Visitors do not need to travel far to embrace nature, and they can also purchase their favorite rare flowers and plants in the park. Deyu Ecological Park combines sightseeing, conference reception, accommodation, and leisure shopping, and is committed to providing visitors with first-class service.

The first and second phases of Deyu Ecological Park currently offer two tour routes, which are scientifically arranged and rich in content. All routes are unobstructed, clean, and hygienic. The park is shaded by green trees and kept tidy, equipped with various types of trash bins (for recyclable and non-recyclable waste). There are dedicated viewing paths within the park. The main roads in the area feature bilingual (Chinese and English) traffic signs, and brochures or leaflets introducing the ecological park’s attractions and travel guidelines are available.

Seasonal Features: Flowers bloom in the park all year round, with scenic views everywhere. Spring is the best season to visit, especially when the white-flowered loropetalums are in full bloom, creating a particularly beautiful and magnificent scene.
