The ruins of the Ming Dynasty Gourd Kiln are a cultural tourism attraction.
The gourd kiln is a unique ancient kiln in Jingdezhen. It earned its name due to its gourd-like shape during firing. Emerging in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, the gourd kiln combined the advantages of the dragon kiln and the mantou (steamed bun) kiln, but was later replaced by the egg-shaped kiln during the Qing Dynasty.
