Furong Song Dynasty Cultural Park

A Jiangnan-style Song Dynasty-themed town, this is a classic ancient culture destination in Jiangxi Province. Located south of Wan’an County, it lies 7 kilometers from the Gan-Guang Expressway. The park is themed around Song Dynasty culture, with the culture of the Eighteen Rapids as its main content. It is a unique tourist area that integrates sightseeing, vacationing, dining, and entertainment. Key attractions include the ancient city wall, ancient banyan tree, Zhijin Pavilion, Wuyun Pavilion, and the “Eighteen Rapids” Poetry Stele Forest. The ancient city wall is listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangxi Province. It was first built during the Song Dynasty’s Shaoxing era, and today it preserves the only one-kilometer-long Ming Dynasty county-level city wall remaining in Jiangxi. Zhijin Pavilion and Wuyun Pavilion were historically lodging spots for officials and scholars traveling to Guangdong and Guangxi, and feature many surviving poetic inscriptions.
