Traffic control during the Wan'an No. 40 Exercise period: High-speed rail external shuttle bus adjustments

On May 18th (Thursday) from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, the Wan'an No. 40 Exercise (covering Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, and Hsinchu County) will be held in the northern region. Travelers who are out or on a trip should pay particular attention to the fact that movement during this time period must comply with the regulations of the Wan'an Exercise. Please pay attention early and adjust accordingly to avoid affecting your planned itinerary. Taiwan High Speed Rail has also made the following adjustments in coordination with the Wan'an Exercise: external shuttle buses, express buses, and scheduled taxis at HSR Nangang Station, Taipei Station, Banqiao Station, Taoyuan Station, and Hsinchu Station will be temporarily suspended during the exercise period due to traffic control.

Taiwan High Speed Rail stated that during the exercise period, all high-speed rail trains will operate as normal, and station ticketing and passenger entry/exit gate operations will also remain normal. Passengers traveling to or from HSR Nangang Station, Taipei Station, Banqiao Station, Taoyuan Station, and Hsinchu Station are advised to arrive at the station early to avoid delays to their planned itineraries. Passengers arriving at or departing from stations between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM on May 18th (Thursday) during the exercise period are requested to follow the guidance of military police and station staff and wait inside the station as needed.
