The grand commemoration of the 70th anniversary of victory in the Anti-Fascist War has created a huge wave in China and around the world. To extend the red tourism routes of Zunyi, develop high-quality red tourism scenic spots, and showcase the unique charm of red tourism, as well as to further present the positive image of Zheng’an tourism and its rural tourism resources, continuously promote industrial restructuring, and achieve the goals of catching up from behind and moving up in rankings in Zheng’an’s tourism sector, the “Zunyi · Zheng’an First Osmanthus Festival and Tourism Industry Development Conference” series of events, jointly organized by the CPC Zheng’an County Committee, the People’s Government of Zheng’an County, and Zunyi Red Tourism (Group) Co., Ltd., will be held from September 25 to September 28 in Zheng’an County.
In the north there is Confucius, in the south there is Yin Zhen. As the hometown of Yin Zhen, Zheng’an has long been known as the “land of literature and calligraphy, and the home of fiction,” boasting a rich cultural heritage. Not only does it have outstanding people, but also a spiritually rich land. With beautiful mountains and charming scenery, Zheng’an is located in a typical karst landform area and possesses distinctive and highly developable tourism resources — hundred-mile tung blossom forests, thousand-hectare tea plantations, ten-thousand-mu grasslands, Tiantai sea of clouds... It is abundant in green resources such as papaya, tung oil trees, and square bamboo shoots. Back in the 1960s, then-Premier Zhou Enlai once inscribed for Zheng’an tung oil: “With ten thousand tung trees in every household, happiness will be endless.”
Now, with the opening of the expressway in Zheng’an, this historic and renowned county in northern Guizhou will deeply tap into its tourism resources and showcase to the world the exemplary rural cultural tourism of Zheng’an, highlighting its geographical advantages and humanistic charm. To vividly and fully express Zheng’an to the world, the main venues for this “Osmanthus Festival” are the Osmanthus Garden in Sanbachē Village, Ruixi Town, and Shuichēbà in Ruixi Town. During the “Osmanthus Festival,” a variety of exciting activities such as garden tours and photography exhibitions will be launched one after another, along with other events including live painting by master artists, exhibitions of Zheng’an’s specialty foods, white tea tasting sessions, performances of guzheng and guitar music, traditional opera shows, a matchmaking event for a thousand couples, singing competitions, and dance contests. Coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the talented and beautiful people of Zheng’an will immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, spending the most wonderful time with visitors.
