On February 10, 2015, the opening ceremony of the Cao Tang Millennium Ancient Town Tourist Area in Weng'an County, Qiannan Prefecture, was held at the Wengshui Changge Square in the Cao Tang Ancient Town area of Houchang Town. The event featured performances such as Sichuan opera face-changing, lantern clapper opera, dragon and lion dances, performance art, a mass lantern riddle guessing game, and cultural shows. As a key 4A-level tourist attraction and one of the "Top Ten Cultural Tourism Brands of Guizhou Province" and one of the "Five Tourism Business Cards of Guizhou," the opening of this tourist area has drawn continuous media coverage. Meanwhile, the "Carrying Cao Tang, Passing Time in Weng'an" series of themed creative events and the world’s most unconventional leasing scheme have sparked active participation and keen interest among tourists and investors alike. The opening festivities will run from February 10 through March 5.
