Donglin Temple Pagoda

The Donglin Temple Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Sanbao Pagoda, also known as the Donglin Temple Pagoda, is located in Dayan Village, Danqian Township, Wan’an County, Ji’an City, within the grounds of Donglin Temple. It is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Sanbao Pagoda consists of three parallel stupas and is a relic from the Song Dynasty (some sources claim it was built during the Ming Dynasty, but according to the provincial heritage list, it is confirmed to be from the Song Dynasty). The Sanbao Pagoda shares a similar structure with the Tang Dynasty stupas at Tianlong Mountain. Each stupa is about three meters high, featuring a three-tiered stone structure with an octagonal base and a round top, covering an area of over thirty square meters. In 2006, it was included in the fifth batch of Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Donglin Temple was originally built during the Qianlong reign period. Its surviving relics include the Tianxiang Incense Burner and the Sanbao Pagoda. In 2003, local villagers donated funds to construct two new halls and three sculpted deity statues. The Mahavira Hall faces west and has a construction area of approximately 300 square meters.
