The summit of Five Horses Facing Heaven is inaccessible by road, but sometimes you can spot stump-tailed monkeys playing up there. At the foot of the mountain, a small hydropower station has been built by damming the river. The station’s water is crystal-clear and azure, reflecting the rugged peaks of Five Horses Facing Heaven, creating a poetic scene reminiscent of “a calm lake emerging from a high gorge.”

It is located four kilometers south of Ciping, with a road leading to the attraction one kilometer away. Five peaks stand side by side, each with a unique shape. The cliffs are hundreds of feet high, and the rugged mountain forms resemble five horses standing proudly with their heads raised. Legend has it that they were formed from five heavenly steeds, hence the name “Five Horses Facing Heaven.” In spring, you see the mountain’s form; in summer, its spirit; in autumn, its sentiment; and in winter, its bones—each season showcases its own unique beauty. A rugged path winds through the mountainside, known as the “Red Army Road.”

At the foot of the mountain, two streams converge, with multiple-tiered waterfalls cascading above them. Bridges echo with the roar of the falls, while another small stream also features several cascading waterfalls, creating a spectacular scene. At the entrance, there are now the Cloud-Cutting Bridge and a suspension bridge, offering opportunities for leisurely sightseeing, as well as thrilling activities such as zip-lining, archery, and rock climbing...

Major attractions include the Five Horses Facing Heaven Cliff, Yanqing Bridge, Xianyan Cave, ancient trees, and more.
