On January 6, 2018, the China Jiangshan International RV Tourism Conference was ceremoniously inaugurated at the Xieli Feng Theme Park within the Xiufeng Porcelain Charm Scenic Area, Xiaokou Town, Jiangshan City. Over 200 RVs from across the country participated in this event.

Wang Sheng and Li Yuansheng delivered speeches on behalf of the Jiangshan Municipal Committee and China Automotive News, respectively.
In his speech, Wang Sheng stated: As an emerging form of tourism, RV travel serves as a valuable supplement to the supply-side reform of the tourism industry. The hosting of this conference in Jiangshan not only affirms the city’s progress in all-for-one tourism development but also supports the growth of its RV camping industry. It is hoped that this event will promote deeper integration between Jiangshan’s tourism sector and RV culture, as well as RV tourism, facilitating the transformation from “site-specific tourism” to “all-for-one tourism.” Li Yuansheng noted in his address: Tourism is a strategic pillar industry of the national economy, having surpassed 8 trillion yuan in 2016, accounting for 11.01% of that year’s GDP and generating nearly 80 million (79.62 million) direct and indirect jobs. In recent years, the state has vigorously developed the tourism industry, particularly promoting the healthy growth of self-drive and RV tourism. The advancement of self-drive and RV travel has been elevated to a national strategy as a means to drive the collaborative development of various industries. Guided by policy, China’s RV industry has achieved leapfrog development.
Meanwhile, Li Yuansheng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Automotive Journalists Association, on behalf of China Automotive News, awarded Jiangshan the title of China Automotive (RV) Tourism Culture Base. Yang Jun, Vice Mayor of Jiangshan Municipal People’s Government, received the plaque.
Han Junshan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Automotive Journalists Association and Secretary-General of the China RV Marketing Alliance, on behalf of China Automotive News, appointed Wang Wenming and Ji Yuesheng as President and Secretary-General of China Didikey (Zhejiang) Self-Drive Club, respectively.
Han Junshan, General Manager of Nanjing Ideal Tourism Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Mao Jiansen, Party Committee Secretary of Xiaokou Town, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on automobile tourism.
Finally, amid a warm atmosphere, Du Yingzi, Editor-in-Chief of China City News, announced the official opening of the conference.

At the event, rows of RVs were neatly parked along the roadside for visitors to explore, forming a unique RV exhibition. “I arrived in Jiangshan with my family a week before the event began, experiencing the beauty of this wonderful place together with RV enthusiasts from across the nation. The conference offered a rich variety of activities. Beyond the camping gathering, we also joined the RV tour of Jiangshan’s scenic spots organized by the committee, which gave me a much deeper understanding of Jiangshan. I hope the organizers will hold more such events to enrich the cultural life of the domestic RV community,” said an RV owner from Handan, Hebei Province.
According to the organizing committee, RVs are no longer a luxury item. From affordable models starting at 49,800 yuan, to mid-range options for the middle class priced between 200,000 and 500,000 yuan, to luxury RVs costing several million, there is a wide range to choose from based on individual needs. RV travel is an important vehicle that aligns with the goals of all-for-one tourism.
