The Hundred Bamboo Garden is located in Shangjing Village on Jinggang Mountain, 6 kilometers from Ciping, covering an area of 200 acres. It was built with an investment of over 1.7 million RMB by Jiangxi Jinggangshan Enterprise Group Corporation. As a scenic destination integrating unique bamboo species, sightseeing, leisure, tourism, and science education, it adds further charm to Jinggang Mountain, known as the "Cradle of the Revolution."

The Hundred Bamboo Garden boasts over 120 varieties of bamboo. Their shapes vary from square to round, and from arc-shaped to spherical; their stems come in unique forms such as turtle-back, Buddha’s belly, Guanyin, and curved or straight; their colors range beautifully across purple, green, yellow, yellow streaked with green, and green streaked with yellow. Among them, turtle-shell bamboo, Xiangfei bamboo, small Buddha’s belly bamboo, and chicken-feather bamboo are considered rare treasures.

The bamboo varieties in the garden include: Xiangfei bamboo, also known as "mottled bamboo." The phrase "one mottled bamboo branch, a thousand drops of tears" tells the love story of Ehuang and Nüying searching for their husband across thousands of miles; the bamboo with turtle-shell-like nodes is turtle-shell bamboo; square bamboo, a native species of Jinggang Mountain, is exceptionally beautiful, swaying with dense leaves that flaunt its charm, and most remarkably, its stem is square-shaped; purple bamboo stands out with its distinctive color; the delicate Feibai bamboo, not even a foot tall, has stems just a few inches high, and its beauty lies in its leaves—the larger ones can be used for wrapping zongzi, while the slender ones resemble willow leaves.

The most eye-catching in the bamboo grove is the large moso bamboo—that is the "Jinggang Green Bamboo" described by Yuan Ying. In the past, it played a significant role in the revolutionary struggle of Jinggang Mountain, and today it remains strikingly majestic. Among the bamboo, camellias, gardenias, and mountain michelia bloom all year round; herbs like sarcandra, two-leaf pine, and Jinggang orchids display their blossoms. The Jinggang Hundred Bamboo Garden also features waterfalls, rockeries, pavilions, and a corridor displaying Mao Zedong’s poetry for visitors to enjoy.

The climate of Jinggang Mountain is subtropical monsoon, and the vast bamboo forests cover the mountains, lush and dripping with tender green. Clouds and mist nestle between the bamboo, while winding stone paths hide among the thickets. Quietly following these paths into the depths of this green "lake," you’ll feel the mountain breeze brush by, occasionally punctuated by the clear chirping of birds.
